Simple Sunday Breakfast
As a huge advocate of breakfast food, I pretty much consider Sunday mornings incomplete if they don't include eggs and some form of delicious pork. Chorizo, bacon, sausage.. I like it all. Here was this weekends breakfast of choice. An everything bagel-thin (I think bagel-thins are kind of amazing by the way), canadian bacon, eggs, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Yum. Nothing fancy, but darn good. Hope your week is getting off to a good start!!

Simple Things
I really like to think that I'm easy to please and simple things make me genuinely happy. This week isn't quite over yet, but here are a few of the things that made me smile thus far.
Clementines!! So delicious. I bought a large bag and snacked on them all week.
Donkey. (pronounced Dun-kee, with Shrek's voice from the movie) He's actually an armadillo. I bought him at a chintzy little stand a few years back in Mexico. He sits on my desk at work and when I look at him he makes me smile.
Ridiculous amounts of salad consumed at Souplantation last night by 8 of my best friends and me
My late Grandfathers tie pin ('B' for Bert) and his bracelet that he wore everyday. My Mom just informed me that he left them to me and these items are now among some of the most special things I own

A Votre Sante
Last night I had dinner with a friend at one of my favorite restaurants in Brentwood. I fell in love with the area when I was working at an adorable pilates studio on San Vicente while finishing college. With plenty of salads, pastas, sandwiches, vegan options, and fresh fish dishes, A Votre Sante is always a satisfying experience. Since the weather has been a little on the colder side here in LA, a cup of their delicious turkey chili and baked chicken rolls hit the spot. Happy Friday!!!!

Daydreamer
Today was a very long, busy day. Sometimes mid-week I find it challenging to stay focused and motivated on the tasks at hand. I thought it might be a good time to refresh some of my short term and long term goals for the future. Some of the items on my 'list' seem a little unrealistic at present, but reminding myself occasionally of what I want to see in the upcoming years of my life helps me to re-focus my energy and remember exactly what I am working for.

Belle de Nuit
Last summer I spent 2 incredible weeks in Europe. It doesn’t take much to trigger the nostalgia and send me daydreaming for hours on end. This morning it was Belle de Nuit. An Eau de Parfum that I purchased at the Fragonard perfumery in Grasse, France. I haven't worn the scent for a few months and it instantly brought back numerous memories from my time spent along the Mediterranean coast. It has quickly become one of my favorites for its very full, enticing scent with notes of jasmine, lily, sandalwood, and amber. I couldn’t help but take this opportunity to share some of my favorite moments from my ‘eurotrip’.

Because I'm Twenty Something
Welcome to Because I'm TwentySomething! I've started this blog so I have a way to catalog and share some of the things that make me happy. I thought there would be no better way to begin, than with Sunday; quite possibly my favorite day of the week. Fresh espresso, core centered yoga, an afternoon at the Griffith Observatory, and a very successful first attempt at cooking chicken piccata were among some of the reasons I had a perfect Sunday.
